MPB made in Paris - Aline de Lima

Artist Maranhao, 29, singer-songwriter residing in Paris recorded her first album, "Afterglow" (2006) in New York with production genialíssimo Vinicius Canterbury and attended by musicians and Paulo Braga on drums, and Americans Erik Fridlander on cello, Marc Ribot on guitar. His French label, Naïve, launched names such as Seu Jorge and Vinicius Cantuaria itself in Europe as well as hits such as Carla Bruni, Pink Martini, among others.

Today, Aline releases his 2nd CD, "acai" in homage to its origins in Maranhao, co-produced by renowned Japanese trumpeter, Jun Miyake, who along with Arto Lindsay, underground music is part of New Yorkers. The work of this

young singer has been released in Europe and Canada, and she has been seen as one of the indisputable talent of Brazilian music today, as the Brazilians do not know.

Blending Brazilian rhythms, lyrics, Portuguese, French and even Swedish due to the fact that he lived for three years in Stockholm, Aline enchants a public eager for novelty and a voice-performance, with a very personal tone.

Far from being a one note singer, Aline always seeking inspiration in the Jazz and World Music, as well as Brazilian music. His concerts are marked by the rhythmic energy that emanates from his phrasing self-taught, with plenty of swing of samba and bossa nova, but also of Northeastern rhythms.
