This time it's the number - The Ear of Van Gogh - John Medina. Apparently
have actually been on December 23, 1888, that Van Gogh
, after a dispute with his friend Paul Gauguin, will cut a piece of
his left ear, which wraps a scarf and take as a gift
a prostitute his girlfriend, Rachel. Some argue that this is not a
gesture of self-mutilation, but has himself been the author of Paul Gauguin
done with a sword. In any event, after leaving the hospital where he remained
about 14 days, Van Gogh painted his famous Self-Portrait with
